TRUTH and TREATS
Outreach

What is Truth and Treats?

Truth and Treats is the Halloween outreach event of Here’s Hope Church. We decorate our Fellowship Hall in fun and festive we and invite the community, especially the children, to stop in for hot dogs, chips, hot chocolate, candy and more. While people are here we offer them New Testaments, Bible, prayer, and a loving, welcoming presence.

Why host Truth and Treats?

This event provides a safe family environment for children in the community and the children in our church to have fun and get some candy. Truth and Treats is an inviting way for people who are unfamiliar with Here’s Hope Church (maybe unfamiliar with in general) to visit and meet us. It’s also a great opportunity for us to get the Word of God into people’s hands. This is our 8th year of hosting Truth and Treats. Last year, with the help of our friends from the Gideons, we handed out about 230 New Testaments and 20 Bibles!

Want to go above and beyond?

New for 2024, if you are handing out candy, bibles, hot dogs, etc, and would like to decorate your station/table with a theme that coordinates with your costume you may do that. Please see Pastor in advance and let him know what you have in mind.
